Single-cell or multi-cell assemblies are available. Our experienced technicians can replace the old cells with new rechargeable cells, assembled to match the original configuration. We test remaining components, clean the battery contacts, re-assemble and reseal the battery case.
The new pack can also be assembled using higher capacity cells that will outperform the original battery. We provide the solutions you need through a custom-built battery, which comes with a full one-year warranty. You may choose NiCad, NiMh or sealed lead-acid cells assembled to your specific needs.
- The technicians at IABC will explain the do's and don'ts along with proper
maintenance tips for all battery types. Every Interstate All Battery Center has
conditioning and analyzing equipment that, in most cases, can remove the
memory effect and restore capacity in the battery.
- All NiCad batteries should be charged 14–16 hours before their initial use.
All new NiCad batteries may take up to three complete charge and discharge
cycles before ever achieving their full rated capacity.
- Proper exercising (conditioning) of NiCad & NiMh batteries over their lifetime
will greatly reduce the potential negative impacts of “memory effect.”
- A discharged NiCad or NiMh battery will still have a voltage remaining when
the “low battery” indication appears and the device no longer operates. This
is normal. You should not attempt to drain the battery past this point as
damage can occur to the battery or the device.
